Abstract

The article offers views from general practitioners (GPs) regarding the need of GPs to offer email consultations in Great Britain. Gurmit Mahay said that GPs should offer email consultations since they will weed out non-urgent cases and increase flexibility of access for patients. However, Trevor Stammers said that GPs should not offer email consultations since escalating reliance on electronic communication lays open to legal threats.
