The scourge of housing costs – causes and solutions

This paper examines the UK housing crisis in the context of Catholic social teaching. It argues that the cause of the crisis is land-use planning regulation and that there are economic and social reasons, soundly grounded in Catholic social teaching, for liberalising the planning system.
