Talent borrows, genius steals: Morrissey and the art of appropriation

It is the intention of this chapter to investigate both Morrissey's "genius" for stealing and the seemingly random manner in which he has juxtaposed the fruit of these heists with other cultural references to create a discontinuous narrative that weaves throughout his solo career.
