Abstract

This chapter explores what is meant by the term ‘mentor’ and which practices are associated with the act of ‘mentoring’ within the area of languages. A selection of different models of mentoring and their underlying aims and consequences are explored, offering the reader a chance to consider their own definition of mentoring and the type of mentor that they aspire to be.
